Biography

Eda Kemahlioglu-Ziya researches cooperative and competitive behavior in supply chains, inventory management and design of incentive mechanisms to induce cooperation in supply chains.  

Dr. Kemahlioglu-Ziya teaches operations management and supply chain management at UNC Kenan-Flagler.

While in graduate school at Georgia Institute of Technology, she conducted research at The Logistics Institute and W. M. Keck Virtual Factory Lab. She also worked on consulting projects for Genuine Parts Company and Rayloc Merchandise Distribution Service.

Her doctoral dissertation proposal, “Formal Methods of Value Sharing in Supply Chains,” was a finalist for the 2004 Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Support Award given by University of Florida SCALE center.

Dr. Kemahlioglu-Ziya received her PhD and master’s degrees in industrial and systems engineering from Georgia Tech. She  received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Bogazici University in Turkey.
