Corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance and venture capital are the research interests of finance professor Merih Sevilir. She teaches courses in mergers and acquisitions and applied corporate finance.

She received her PhD and master's degree from INSEAD. She received an MS and BS in industrial engineering from Bogazici University in Turkey, and an MS in engineering business management from the University of Warwick in Britain
